Excerpts from a documentary directed by Felipe Bustos Sierra about factory workers who refuse to carry out repairs on warplane engines in an act of solidarity against the violent military coup in Chile. 

Extraits du documentaire réalisé par Felipe Bustos Sierra à propos d'ouvriers de l'usine Rolls Royce, qui refusèrent de faire l'entretien des moteurs d'avions de chasse de l'armée de Pinochet, en soutien contre le violent coup d'état au Chili. 

The engines mysteriously disappear four years later in the middle of the night. The crew was not allowed to film inside the factory and its facilities were eventually completely destroyed before main shooting. I directed these animations, recreating the factory entirely in CGI and mixing it with some shots of a similar 1978 model of the truck supposed to be involved and actors filmed on green screen. Subjectivity was the goal rather than dull realism. The fog symbolizes fading memories from the workers. The movie was part of the Tribeca Film Festival 2014 edition's selection. The full documentary was produced later and won the Best Feature award at the 2018 British Academy Scotland Awards.

Les moteurs disparurent mystérieusement, quatre ans plus tard, au milieu de la nuit. L'équipe ne fut pas autorisée à tourner à l'intérieur de l'usine et celle-ci fut entièrement détruite avant le tournage. Ces animations recréèrent entièrement l'usine en images de synthèse, mêlées à des images réelles, notamment d'un modèle de camion de 1978 ainsi que d'acteurs filmés sur fond vert. La subjectivité prend le pas sur le réalisme. Le brouillard symbolise la mémoire des ouvriers un peu usée par les ans. Le film a été notamment sélectionné au Tribeca Film Festival de 2014. Ensuite, la version longue du documentaire fut réalisée et gagna le prix du meilleur aux British Academy Scotland Awards de 2018.
